OOO The basis of OOO OMZ-Special Steels production capacity is a unique super-power DSP-120 steel-making complex of the latest design with an annual production capacity of over 250,000 tons. The facility was launched into operation in June 2009. The high quality of OMZ Special Steels production is guaranteed by the use of vacuum refining in ladle furnaces, as well as through the use of electroslag and vacuum-arc remelting. OMZ Special Steels forges steel ingots using four hydraulic forging presses, including the largest class of hydraulic forging press in Europe. The Research Center (SRC) TC OMZ-Izhora carries out materials testing and research and has been accredited by the Federal Technical Regulatory and Metrology Agency for technical competence and independence. The Research Center is licensed by Rostekhnadzor of the Russian Federation.
With its complex variety of advanced production facilities and equipment, OOO OMZ-Foundry Production is able to produce and deliver a wide assortment of forgings with unit weights ranging from 150 kg to 145 tons and overall dimensions ranging from 3,500 mm in height, up to 6,500 mm in width / diameter and up to 12,000 mm in length.
OOO OMZ-Foundry Production is certified with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System in compliance with the independent standards organizations Lloyd’s Register (Great Britain), Det Norske Veritas (Norway), the American Bureau of Shipping (USA), the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and the Russian River Register. |
