OOO OMZ-Special Steels

Heavy forgings and shells for pressure vessels used in nuclear power generation and in petroleum and gas chemistry with individual unit weight up to 220 tons. More than 200 varieties of large diameter shells produced with 120-MN by a fully automated and computerized AKK-12000 forging complex. The main consumers of production are enterprises of the OMZ Group;

Rotor blanks for turbine generators and turbines with high and ultra-high steam parameters; water turbine shaft blanks and hydraulic power generation blanks ; blanks for gas pumping plants and gas turbines; shaft blanks and components for power generation equipment; compressor disks blanks. The company has experience in manufacturing disk blanks for gas turbines with a capacity of up to 150 MW. Production capacity includes the manufacture of individual units weighing from 0.05 to 150 tons. OMZ solid-forged rotor production is used in all domestic turbine generators ranging from 500 to 1200 MW. To date, OMZ has produced more than 2,000 rotors for steam turbines;

Heavy double-layer and triplex sheets and plates for special purpose products manufactured by OMZ Special Steel’s unique asymmetrical stack rolling technology, including sheets of carbon and low-alloy steels; sheets of alloy and special steels for shipbuilding; stainless steel sheets; double-layer sheets; sheets of titanium alloy and blanks of forged-rolled plates. Thickness up to 450 mm;

Products for shipbuilding including propeller forgings, intermediate, starboard and stern shafts and rudder head shafts up to 21 m;

Heavy forged blanks for general industrial engineering, including smooth forged rods and shafts with ledges; slabs; calendar shaft forgings;

Heavy forged blanks for metallurgy, including molds; back-up and work rolls, clutches, guide pillars and bushes; plates; pipe and other products.
